When my sons were babies they both suffered from colic. The only way we could get my eldest son to sleep was to take him for a ride in the car. However, everytime the engine stopped he would wake up.
We gave him gallons of gripe water and Infacol but according to an article from the UK publication “What Doctors Don’t Tell You” that probably wasn’t a wise move.
Apparently the Infacol contains saccharine and parabens as a preservative; and an average daily does of gripe water contains the equivalent amount of alcohol for a baby as five tots of whiskey for an adult!
Probiotics are brilliant for babies. They can be added to their milk, juice and dusted on nipples for breast feeding mothers.
I am a great fan of probiotics - at least the good ones for they are not all made equal. How I wish I’d known about them years ago.
My youngest son is autistic and ever since he developed the disability after his MMR vaccine his diet has been awful. Recently, however we discovered an amazing probiotic called In-Liven and he has improved tremendously.
As I said, I wish I’d known about probiotics years ago.
